1. Prepare the surface
Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or residue. For very smooth, glossy or non-porous surfaces, lightly sand or apply a suitable primer for best adhesion.
2. Stir well
Stir thoroughly to distribute metallic pigments evenly.
3. Apply GILD Originals
Apply with a brush, roller or sponge. For a smooth metallic finish, apply in thin, even coats. For textured or artistic effects, build layers or use stippling and blending techniques.
4. Build your finish
Allow the first coat to dry for approximately one hour. Apply a second coat for a more polished, smooth and luminous bronze finish.
5. Optional protection
GILD Originals does not usually require a topcoat. For high-contact areas, our compatible topcoats are designed to complement our Gild range. To keep the sheen of the Gild metallic, our Gloss Topcoat is recommended.
