Bleo is Guild Lane’s most expressive paint, crafted in Britain with a unique water-based gel formulation. Designed for porous surfaces such as fabric, raw timber, cork, paper, canvas and stone, it can be used on both interior and exterior projects. Rather than masking the surface, it soaks in to enhance texture, deepens the tone and preserves natural character.
The finish is soft and velvety, with a quiet, matte tactility that feels as though it was always part of the material. Rich in pigment yet fluid in feel, Bleo can be brushed, layered or washed for different effects, making it ideal for feature walls, soft furnishings, garden décor and creative detailing.
Studio-developed for expressive projects and thoughtful colour, Bleo offers a new way to paint. It is more intuitive, more material-led, and unmistakably Guild Lane.
Bleo is a celebration of the natural world, featuring a vibrant palette of 25 bold colours inspired by its beauty. Designed for porous materials, these hand-picked shades seep into the surface rather than sit on top of it, enriching natural textures and allowing the material's character to remain visible.

Suitable Surfaces
Bleo is designed for porous, absorbent materials where colour is intended to soak into the surface rather than sit on top. It works beautifully on textiles such as upholstery, clothing and canvas, as well as untreated wood, terracotta, cork and other natural absorbent materials. Because Bleo bonds within the fibres or surface texture, it allows the weave, grain or character of the material to remain visible while adding rich, flexible colour.

Exterior
Premium British-made water-based gel paint developed with a unique fabric-responsive formula and high pigment concentration. Designed to absorb into porous surfaces, it enhances natural texture while adding soft, lasting colour. The formulation offers smooth flow, fast drying and a velvety, low-sheen finish across fabric, raw timber, cork, canvas. Suitable for both interior and exterior decorative use.
Bleo dries to a soft, velvety finish that sinks into the surface rather than sitting on top. The effect is matte and tactile, with a diffused richness that enhances the material’s natural character. It applies smoothly and settles without visible brushstrokes, offering a seamless look across fabric, wood, paper and other porous substrates. Once dry, the finish feels integrated and lasting, as if the colour was always part of the surface.
Bleo is designed for use on porous and semi-porous surfaces both indoors and out, offering beautiful results across fabric, raw timber, cork, canvas, paper, plaster and more. It absorbs into the surface, enhancing natural texture while delivering rich, lasting colour. Ideal for feature walls, textiles, soft furnishings, backdrops and creative detailing, Bleo’s unique formulation requires minimal preparation and responds intuitively to brushwork and layering.
100 ml covers approx. 1.5 to 2 m² 250 ml covers 4 to 6 m² Coverage depends on surface absorbency, texture and material type. Highly porous or high-pile fabrics (like velvet) may require more paint or additional coats. Lighter shades may also need extra layering for full opacity.
One coat gives soft, natural colour that enhances the surface without hiding its texture. A second coat deepens the tone and increases coverage, especially on more absorbent materials. BLEO can be layered or blended to achieve your desired finish. Always apply in thin, even coats for best results.
Bleo can be applied with a soft synthetic brush, foam brush or sponge, depending on the surface and desired effect. Its gel-like texture flows easily for smooth coverage or artistic techniques, and tools clean up effortlessly with water.
Once dry, Bleo forms a lasting bond with the surface, enhancing and protecting the material without masking its character. The innovative formula allows fabric to remain soft and flexible after painting, avoiding cracking or stiffness. The finish is designed for decorative and low-contact surfaces in both interior and exterior settings, offering a durable result without compromising texture.
Finish, Coverage & Sheen
Bleo delivers a soft, velvety matte finish that integrates into the surface rather than sitting on top. One coat gives a subtle wash of colour that enhances natural texture. A second coat increases depth and coverage while preserving the breathable, tactile quality of the material. On fabric, the finish remains flexible and smooth to the touch.
Drying times may vary depending on surface type, material absorbency and environmental conditions. Always allow full cure before exposing to moisture or outdoor elements.

Multi-Surface Paint for Interior and Exterior Projects
Opacity
Bleo's high pigment concentration gives rich, expressive colour in just one or two coats. It soaks in and enhances the surface rather than masking it, delivering natural depth with minimal layering.
Pigment-Rich and Expressive
Formulated with a high pigment load, Bleo delivers vivid, saturated colour that holds beautifully across fabric, wood and other porous surfaces. The result is soft, deep and unmistakably intentional, colour that feels part of the material itself.
Weather-Resistant
Once fully cured, Bleo holds its colour and finish in outdoor settings. It soaks in and bonds into the surface, resisting flaking and fading on materials like raw timber, stone, cork and canvas. Ideal for sheltered garden décor and creative exterior detailing.
